Responsibility accounting:

Responsibility accounting is based on identifying individual parts of a business, and it is an accounting system that collects, summarizes, and reports accounting data relating to the responsibilities of individual managers.

A responsibility centre is an individual part of business whose manager has personal responsibility for its performance.
